چکیده
Rapid and unplanned urbanisation can lead to altered local climate by increasing land surface temperature (LST), particularly in summer months. This study investigates the Urban Heat Island (UHI) Greater Cairo, Egypt, using remote sensing techniques estimate LST of months over 45 years (1986, 2000, 2017, predicted year 2030). The research objectives steps were, 1- mapped use/ cover (LULC), 2- conducted spatiotemporal analysis LST, with a comparison change across different types, 3- future for 2030, 4- examined this temporal hot-spot area (ring road) cool-spot (the River Nile). results showed that urban areas have increased last 30 179.9 km2 (13 %), while agriculture decreased 148 (12 %) water bodies 6 (0.5 %). mean Cairo time, from 31.3 °C (1986) 36.0 (2017) is reach 37.9 2030. While notable rise ring road buffer zone (88 km2), where it was 31.1 (1986), 37 due triple increase on account areas, may 38.9 slightly more than cooler cultivated areas. UHI induce modification negatively affect agricultural land, human thermal comfort unfortunately less sustainable environment.

critical period effects in foreign language learning:the influence of maturational state on the acquisition of reading, writing, and grammar in english as a foreign language
since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...

This paper analyzes seasonal and diurnal variations of MODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) land surface temperature (LST) data at *1.1 km for the period of 2003–2011 over a region in West-Central Texas, where four of the world’s largest wind farms are located. Seasonal anomalies are created from MODIS Terra (*10:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. local solar time) and Aqua (*1:30 a.m. and...
متن کاملImpact of urban land cover change on land surface temperature
The rapid growth in urban population is seen to create a need for the development of more urban infrastructures. In order to meet this need, natural surfaces such as vegetation are been replaced with non-vegetated surfaces such as asphalt and bricks which has the ability to absorb heat and release it later. This change in land cover is seen to increase the land surface temperature. Previous stu...
متن کاملSimulating Land Cover Changes and Their Impacts on Land Surface Temperature in Dhaka, Bangladesh
Despite research that has been conducted elsewhere, little is known, to-date, about land cover dynamics and their impacts on land surface temperature (LST) in fast growing mega cities of developing countries. Landsat satellite images of 1989, 1999, and 2009 of Dhaka Metropolitan (DMP) area were used for analysis. This study first identified patterns of land cover changes between the periods and...

Background: Ovarian masses represent a range of pathology from benign cyst to highly aggressive malignant tumors. It has been estimated that gynecologic malignancy account for approximately 2% of all types of cancer in children, 60-70% of these lesions arise in the ovary. Methods: All ovarian masses which were resected or biopsied in Mofid Children's Hospital from 2002 to 2012 were reviewe...
